Has the Bible been kept pure? The Westminster Confession of Faith and the providential preservation of Scripture:
In the introduction to the book I note that the Westminster Assembly was established to achieve a uniformity of religion in the British Isles. This, however, only applied to the English church initially, and it was not till 3 months later that the Scots became part of the Assembly, following the acceptance of the Solemn League and Covenant, and the mandate for reform was extended to embrace the wider protestant church. The book now reflects this more accurate picture. I have also taken the opportunity in 2017 to correct some typos which occurred in earlier printings of the book.
